Even though we might not want to deal with our own mortality and thinking about this can make us feel uncomfortable, it is important to do so when you are planning your will or estate. There are many things to consider and five important steps include: take an inventory of what you have, figure out who you want to have it, who will manage the plan, the type of plan and who will write up the plan. Each one of these steps above have many subsets in them and the time to do your will and estate planning will vary by individual. Procrastination is never a good thing because you never know when something unexpected might happen. Think ahead and plan accordingly.
