Have you ever checked your tires tread depth? It can be a strong indicator of wear or need of replacement that doesn’t require a shop to tell you if it’s in need of replacement. Tires will have whats called a wear bar that can become visible once a certain amount of rubber has worn off the tire. Checking for the wear bar is the first place to start. Tire tread depth is usually measured in 32nds of an inch, so you will need a measuring device that is accurate to that increment. Finding a tire tread gauge at your local parts store is a great place to start and works well for determining the level of wear on your vehicles tires.
