Each year as the seasons change the weather can bring dangerous conditions, one of the most dangerous forms of weather is rain. Believe it or not rain can be as dangerous as snow or ice, especially if rains after an extended dry period. When the rain comes it can rinse all of the oils and residues off the street and concentrate them in places on the roadway causing it to become extremely slick. Another danger of rain can be flooding. Each year people are hurt, and even killed, when driving on flooded roadways. Here are a few things you can do to safeguard against these conditions. Turn on your lights to increase visibility. Slow down. Driving at a safe speed for conditions will help reduce your risk.
