Surprise! You’re covered for the hospital, not the doctors

Unfriendly, For Profit, In or Out? 25% of California residents have discovered they are paying some out-of-network costs at in network hospital facilities.  This concept seems unreasonable considering that you would go to an in-network hospital so you can get your rates. Residents of California have decided that this is unfair and have slated to change this system. However, doctors feel that they are being subjected to a “hostile act against there medical profession”.  Bottom line, it’s really just about protecting costs in favor of physicians. A consumer reports national research center survey completed in 2013 supplied the statistical data to suggest an alarming effect on consumer buying power and health.  These fees are not trivial either. Sometimes thousands of extra dollars have to be paid for example like the anesthesiologist who’s out of network.  Mr. Conners of Orange County had to pay thousands of extra dollars to save his son. Many Californians say this is unacceptable.
