When dealing with your insurance company after an accident, it is important to recall the accident honestly while keeping your facts to an estimate. It doesn’t do anyone any good to lie or over share facts. While an accident might technically have been caused by you, you might be surprised to know that there could be other people at fault. You might have hit someone else, but there might have been something that person could have done to avoid the situation. Let the police do their job and investigate. If you were injured in the accident and hoping to be compensated, make sure your doctor documents his/her prognoses. You might need to see another doctor that is signed-off by your insurance company. While personal injury could be questionable, property damage is easier to claim and document. Hopefully your insurance company will be willing to help and work with you.
